The Needed Change

Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns for an extended period of time when that change lasts. Factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by the Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions can cause climate change. Human activities contribute to climate change by inducing changes in the concentrations of greenhouse gases, aerosols, (small particles) and cloudiness in the Earth's atmosphere. The combustion of fossil fuels, which releases carbon dioxide gas into the atmosphere, makes the greatest documented contribution.

We found that as we consume fossil fuels such as coal & gas and release carbon and it builds up in the environment, we found Climate Change & Extreme Weather occurred. By altering incoming solar radiation and outgoing infrared (thermal) radiation that are part of the Earth's energy balance, greenhouse gases and aerosols influence the atmosphere. River floods around the world indicate that a total of 21 million people worldwide are affected each year by river floods. Because of climate change and socio-economic growth, this figure could rise to 54 million in 2030. To assist with increased flooding, the following laws have been passed. The national Flood Insurance Act of 1968, The Flood Insurance Protection Act of 1937, & The National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1994.

We should take responsible measures to protect our environment and human health in order to solve this issue. We should also take steps to brace our cities for climate change's current and potential impacts. We can also decrease the release of heat trapping gases such as carbon by reducing the effect on our climate system, which can help protect our health and well-being. Through making posters about it, we can educate people and raise awareness, or reporters can write about it internationally and spread it around.

It is very important to solve this problem because it can prevent many things from occurring or even starting, such as damage to houses and buildings by flooding from severe weather. Also, it can be important because it can save the lives of people.
