Fighting the inevitable
Known for his notoriety in badmouthing, yet the common people love President Rodrigo Duterte's decisiveness and compassion for the poor.
His campaign to end drugs in the Philippines ear different opinions and reactions. Some agree that in order to instill discipline among the people, "Kamay na bakal" is necessary. However, his critics sights his War on Drugs program as against human rights.
President Duterte's landslide win against his opponents for presidency prove that more people choose to believe in his platforms. His promise to end drugs light up people's desire for change. And he did so, yes he tried. During his first months in power, he and his drug czars swept through our country trying to eliminate drugs. But it's not that simple. Drug trade is deeply rooted in our system that even if they eliminate the leaves and branches, the riots roots remain… strong and hidden such as the druglords and syndicates which involves not just Filipinos but also foreigners.
During this time of pandemic, we can see our government's efforts to lessen the effects while trying hard to find a cure. Strong collaboration from government agencies and organizations made it possible why we still persist till now. We need each other more than before.
Nevertheless, President Duterte is trying and continues to fight so that all of us could have a good life. But he can't do it alone, he needs us to help him. He is already old and has health problems. He needs our support since fighting the inevitable takes a long, long time.

Good day Bryzon! Your article is well-written and I agree that we all need to help each other to lessen the burden carrying by the President. Good job!
